Pv4 vs. IPv6
Some basic differences from IPv4 vs. IPv6:
• address space: IPv6 has a capacity of 128 bits, compared to IPv4 is only 32 bits - a capacity much larger IPv6 (2 ^ 96 times as compared to IPv4). We have also orang2 enough to say that the difference is too large capacity, and berlebih2an. But with the address space is unusually large, it will open a lot of possibilities in the future regarding aplikasi2 can dienable (for example, every resident and all his possessions can be ip address etc for identification.)
• Scope: IPv6 has a scope (range) IP address well-defined, such as node-local, link-local, site-local, organization-local, global-scope. Scope is similar to the use of private or global IP address in the IPv4, but far more flexible
• Multicast: IPv6 multicast capability of controlling much better (if krupuk name crispy:) compared with the scope IPv4 multicast (in IPv4 there is no ability to control this)
• Anycast: This new ability to identify several IPv6 hosts with an IP address only. The closest host who will respond later (if the solution in IPv4 uses the same IP address, routing protocol that will determine where the closest)
• Simplifying the format header: IPv6 header is more simple than with IPv4, there are several fields that eliminated, so the ability is enormous, IPv6 header is only 2x greater than the IPv4
• Flexible Options Header: field in the IPv6 option flexible length, so much easier to support new applications in the future (we do not know the reply now)
• better QoS capabilities: IPv6 able to label certain paket2 to get special treatment (eg for real-time traffic)
• Authentication and Privacy: IPv6 has built-in capabilities for authentication & privacy. If the IPv4 tunnel we got to add the IPSec (or other additional mechanisms) for this
• lain2 new functions in IPv6: real-time flows, provider selection, host mobility, end-to-end security, auto-configuration, and auto-reconfiguration. This Solusi2 if the IPv4 requires a lot of patchy manner
